The Role

The Catering Department provides a variety daily services in our on-site restaurant and offers catering services for wedding and banqueting functions throughout the year.

 

An integral part of this role will be to support the provision of high-quality food for learners, citizens and staff, along with catering and hospitality for external functions and events. As a member of the catering team you will be involved in a busy calendar of events including weddings, private functions and conferences.

 

This role offers a great work-life balance with only having to work 1 in 4 weekends, but with the opportunity for earning an additional amount by working on the regular functions and events.

 

You will be passionate about providing a high-quality catering service for our learners and citizens. Your experience will allow you to take pride in presenting and serving dishes according to agreed specified quality standards. You will be encouraged to contribute and implement new exciting menu ideas and innovations.

 

Your communication skills will be second to none and you will thrive when working in a team environment.

 

You will hold a City & Guild 706/1 and 706/2 Diploma in Cookery level 2 equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification. You will possess a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate as well as having a basic nutritional experience or a relevant qualification.
