We are recruiting for two Progression Tutors and as part of the Learning and Teaching department at Portland College you will shape and help learners gain employment outcomes. In conjunction with the Information, Advice, Guidance and Transitions Team, you will lead on target setting and development of education and independence of all learners within your tutorial group, in line with their individual learning plan. You will play a key role in the success of their Study Programme.
You will track and evidence their progress, their learner journey and communicate this to ensure appropriate funding is achieved. You will plan and deliver meaningful activities to promote learners understanding of EDI, Safeguarding, SMSC, maths, English, employability and independence. You will lead on the integration of these into the curriculum whilst enabling learners to achieve their individual targets and specified qualifications.
We will have within a specialist education environment and ideally experience of delivering highly differentiated programmes to learners who have a wide variety of needs. Knowledge of RARPA and Adult Education Budget funding would be advantageous as would a qualification in Special Educational Needs.
