The role of Housekeeping Supervisor is integral to the College by ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene for all designated College facilities and reducing the spread of infection in accordance with relevant legislation.

 

As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety are promoted at all times to meet CQC regulations.

 

Within the domestic’s team you will lead and work with a small team of housekeepers and work across the college in a variety of areas. You will have direct supervisory line management for the housekeepers within the domestic team.


Maintaining the cleanliness of residential accommodation is a key part of this role and supporting the team to ensure they are able to meet the highest standards possible.

 

Your team will support learning facilities and other designated areas of the college by providing and promoting a clean and safe environment for all, maintaining confidentiality and complying

with the required care standards.

 

Your role will involve working with COSHH substances, manual handling and standing for long periods of time.

 

You will have knowledge of health and safety and a good level of written communication skills to support you within your role.

 

You will hold level of literacy at a standard to be able to follow written instructions and calculate areas and measurements as well as holding a vocational qualification in domestic services and a level 2 qualification in English and Maths or be willing to work towards this within a required timescale.


Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Working Hours


Your typical working week will be Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours per week.
