The Role

We are expanding our Speech and Language Therapy team and have an exciting new opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join us at Portland College.

 

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with knowledge, understanding, and experience that they can apply to working with young adults with a range of disabilities and associated communication difficulties.

 

The main purpose of this role will be to support the communication needs of the learners at Portland College. This will include undertaking assessments, delivering therapy sessions, providing training and advice to staff, families, and carers, working within a multi-disciplinary team, embedding therapy support into the curriculum, and promoting communication friendly learning environments and an inclusive communication approach across the college.

 

We need someone to join the team who is passionate about supporting communication needs for learners within an education setting and is willing to adopt a range of different service delivery models to manage their own clinical caseload.

 

You will work in a friendly and supportive team of Speech and Language Therapists and Assistant Speech and Language Therapists and will receive regular clinical supervision and a range of CPD opportunities.

 

You will have a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree and be a member of the RCSLT and HCPC registered.

Working Hours

Your working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, worked over a Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required.
