Based at our Nottingham Hub (Forest Road West), working as a Learning Support Assistant – Positive Behaviour Support, you will have a direct impact on a learner experience here at Portland and work with a group of delivery staff to advance the learner through their curriculum framework.

Qualifications needed


You will hold NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) level 2 or equivalent, or willing to work towards within an agreed timescale.

You should hold a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills and ICT Skills qualification or be willing to work towards this in an agreed timescale.


Working Hours


Our Learning Support Assistants work on a 38-week contract which means you will work your hours within the college term time and then be on annual leave throughout the college holidays but still enjoy the benefits of receiving a pro rata salary.


Your hours will be up to 35 hours per week between Monday to Friday from 9.00am – 4.30pm but there is flexibility in terms of hours if the above times are not suitable for you, which we are happy to discuss this at interview.
